More often than I like, I see crews coming back from shoots without using SPG’s or sync devices like Ambient’s ClockIt..
For FinalCut Pro you can now sync up several ISO’s by automatically comparing audio waveforms with PluralEyes from SingularSoftware. I have not tried it yet, but I guess I’ll get a chance sooner rather than later!

Soundsnap.com: High Quality Sound Effects and Loops.

So Soundsnap seems like fun for the occasional sound effect user, like me. I can download five free sounds every month, and that actually exceeds my current needs. If you’re a more frequent user, you will have to pay, but then again, you’re making money editing, so that’s fair!
Today I bought tickets for the 2009 NAB SuperMeet. It’s a gathering of Final Cut Pro fanboys arranged by LAFCPUG, and is usually quite fun. Apple will not be exhibiting this year either, which is strange considering it’s FCP’s 10th anniversary and in it’s time has made such an industry impact.
